KONG was created out of a love for dogs and a desire to find a solution to destructive chewing behavior. The founder, Joe Markham, discovered the concept for KONG by chance when his dog Fritz developed a fondness for chewing on rocks, sticks, and other harmful objects, which began to wear down his teeth.
