Water: It is important to ensure that your guinea pigs always have access to clean and fresh water. Use a heavy bowl or bottle mounted on the cage to provide water.

Company: Guinea pigs are social animals and thrive best together with another guinea pig. They should be kept in the same sex to avoid unwanted litters. If you only have one guinea pig, make sure it gets plenty of attention and social interaction from its human owners.

Exercise: Guinea pigs love to explore and play, so they should have daily access to a safe area outside their cage or enclosure. This can be a fenced garden or a special indoor play area.
