Zinc is a trace element used in all the horse's cells and is particularly necessary for the horse's metabolism in connection with the conversion of fat, protein and carbohydrates. In addition, zinc contributes to the maintenance of healthy and strong bones as well as skin, hair and hooves.
Zinc protects the horse's cells and Nordic MEGA Zinc contains active substances that strengthen the immune system and is rich in antioxidants and vitamins, especially vitamin C, and active substances that strengthen liver function.
Furthermore, zinc is necessary for optimal absorption and utilization of iron and vitamin A.
If the horse is fed correctly, it should not be deficient in zinc. If this is the case, the feeding plan should always be assessed, possibly with a roughage analysis.
